Imagine denim made of silk, hand dyed with real indigo....
For this piece I’ve used a tussah silk warp and combined it with an organic cotton weft. The cotton used here is one of my hand dyed colours. Natural indigo is layered several times to acquire a beautiful washed denim blue. Tussah silk offers a subtle softness and warmth to the cloth. Handwoven with one of my original patterns, this piece is woven in an extra large size suitable for a shawl or oversized scarf.
