Commissions
Handweaving for special occasions.
Weaving made for you.
A handwoven textile takes time to make.
Not just in hours, but in the quality of attention that accumulates, thread by thread, across days and weeks of quiet, rhythmic work. A commission asks me to hold a specific intention in that space: your colours, your fibres, your purpose for the piece.
It is an intimate thing to weave for someone.
What a Commission Looks Like
Each commission begins with a conversation. We talk about the piece you are imagining ,its dimensions, its fibres, the feeling you want it to carry. From there, I design the weave structure and palette, source the materials, and begin.
You will receive one or two notes from the studio while your piece is on the loom, a small window into the making.
A Few Things to Know
I accept a small number of commissions each year. Each piece deserves my full presence, and I can only offer a few at a time.
Commissions are available in silk, organic cotton, linen, hemp, and alpaca or a combination. Scarves, shawls, wraps, and small blankets are all within scope. If you have something else in mind, I am open to hearing it.
Commissions begin at $595 CAD (not including materials). The final investment depends on the complexity of the weave, the fibres chosen, and the dimensions of the piece.
If you are simply drawn to my work and would like to own a piece, I invite you to join the Studio List for early access to my next collection release. Join the Studio List →
